Every woman dreams of preserving youthful, glowing and wrinkle free skin even in their 40’s. For most women this is impossible and just cannot happen. However, here we want to burst this myth and give you the good news that it is actually possible to have youthful and wrinkle free skin even when you are middle aged. Like every other object your skin also demands care and nurturing. When nourished properly with a good skin care routine, the skin remains healthy and glowing for a long time.
Cleansing And Moisturizing
You need to cleanse your face and neck at least twice a day. If you have oily skin than increase it to thrice a day. Dirt and pollutants tend to stick to the oil on your skin therefore oily skin is more prone to acne and zits than any other skin type. Choose oil free cleansers and cosmetic items that have salicylic acid in them. Salicylic acid can help prevent minor outbursts of acne.
Apply any oil free moisturizer to do away with dryness. Choose a moisturizer with an SPF 15 or higher to protect your skin from the harmful effects of UV rays and sun spots. Women in their 20’s may not need to moisturize more than once a day as their skin’s natural oils are enough to provide moisture. For those who have oily skin, use cosmetic products that are non-comedogenic as they don’t clog pores. Also use a toner to dab on your face after every facial wash and before applying moisturizer.
Avoid Wrinkles And Early Aging Of Skin
As you grow older, your skin begins to lose elasticity and wrinkles and fine lines appear on your face. Although the appearance of these wrinkles is natural however, their advent in early years is embarrassing and problematic. This problem can easily be solved by maintaining a few healthy habits. When you are in your 20’s and have youthful looks and taut skin, wear sun screen to protect it from UV rays. Sun rays are the prime cause of wrinkles and dark spots.
Many people tend to limit the use of sun block on their face. This should not be the case. Spread sun block on your hands and chest area because your hands are frequently exposed to environmental effects and the skin around your neck and collar bones has less sebaceous glands and fatty tissues as compared to the rest of your body.
Prevent Acne And Pimples
Outbursts of acne not only look bad but sometimes they can be very painful. This problem is very common especially during teenage years and early twenties. Taking care of this problem in early age will prevent the outbursts or at least minimize it in thirties and forties. Develop a skin care regime in which you exfoliate twice a week. Use as mild exfoliator which will help unclog your pores and remove dead skin cells. Exfoliate with gentle hands and massage on your face and neck.
If you have dry skin, than exfoliating once a week is enough. Choose facial scrubs that contain hydroxyl acids as it has the ability loosen dead skin which gives room to the regeneration of new skin cells. Remember to use facial scrubs that have micro-round beads as they are best for acne-prone and sensitive skin.
Developing a healthy skin care routine along with balanced diet might be the best investment that you make in your 20’s. This investment will reap fruitful results during middle ages!
