Summer is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year because most exciting outdoor activities can be done during that time of the year. It is also during summer where everyone can show off their flawless body in a summer outfit. On the other hand, summer is a disaster for people who are prone to oily skin. The sun might be as useful as it can be, but it also poses a lot of threats to the skin. Even people who are not prone to oily skin might as well develop oily skin during that time of the year where beaches are crowded.
Oily skin is very irritating and annoying especially when there is a summer to enjoy the day but what is being done instead is handling the problem of too much oil. This is like a nightmare not only to women, but also to men. How can someone show off their perfectly-shaped body if the face is all shiny and shimmering? A human disco ball is not very pleasing to the eyes even if the body is as perfect as the word itself.
But no worries, summer can still be fun even if the threat of an oily skin exists. Proper and right handling of this problem lies within the right skin care regime, specifically an anti-oil skin care regime. Oily skin needs to be treated special during summer in order to prevent it from being a hindrance to the most awaited time of the year. Here are some tips in dealing with an oily skin during summer.
Switch To A More Suited Skin Care Products
Many skin care products work better during other seasons. Even if used to and loyal to a certain type of skin care products, it would be better to switch to a skin care product especially made for oily skin or best works during summer. When choosing the right cleanser, look at the label and see if there’s salicylic acid in the ingredients. Salicylic acid breaks down the excess oils in on the pores without stealing the natural oils and moist of the skin.
When it comes to moisturizer, choose products that are water-based and oil-free. Avoid products that have ingredients which might be harsh to the skin.
Be Smart In Choosing The Right Toner
Toner works exactly like oil-destroyer. It removes the excess oils from the skin which is what’s needed for an oily skin. On the other hand, it might go overboard and steal the natural oils from the skin leaving the skin dry. When the natural oils of the skin vanish, the oil-producing glands in the skin will tend to compensate for the loss oils resulting to oilier skin. The smart thing to do is, choose mild toners in order to keep the oil balance in on the skin. Toners with tea tree oil and calendula extract are the best.
Exfoliate Once Or Twice A Week
Exfoliating provides a clearer skin. Upon applying a gentle exfoliator, dead skin cells and stubborn dirt stuck on the pores of the skin will be removed. When the pores are clear, the oils on it will flow or regulate smoothly providing a balance oil content of the skin. The good thing about exfoliating is that when the skin is clear, it also boosts the effect of other skin care products. Make sure to use a gentle exfoliator at least once a week or twice a week.
